Control Burn with Berlin- Tanker Assist - Bay St. Berlin, MD

On July 6th, Berlin requested Showell to assist them with a control burn on Bay Street in Berlin. Since their fire department has recently received a new tanker, they preferred to use drafting as a primary source for water, using tanker trucks to fill the holding tank. 3 tankers continuously shuttled water to the scene to keep surrounding exposures cool. Cadets were given training on flowing water and hose exercises, and firemen were given drills from within the structure.
