Showell Volunteer Fire Department

At approximately 1006 hours this evening, Showell was alerted to respond to a vehicle fire on Sims Road. Engine 803, 800-A1, Tanker 8, and Engine 804 responded to the scene. Engine 803 arrived first where firefighter 825 took command. The car was found fully involved with some nearby brush also involved. Crews quickly began extinguishing the flames with an 1 3/4 line and a booster line. Upon further inspection, it appears that the car was stolen and possibly lit intentionally. The fire is still under investigation.
