Control Burn - Rotherwood Lane

On Saturday morning at 8am, Crews from Showell, Ocean Pines, Berlin, and Stockton met for a Control Burn on Rotherwood Lane. After initial setup was completed, crews took turn entering the structure and training with live fire scenarios. A corner of the room was set aflame with a "Burn-Prop" and crews were assigned to enter the structure and extinguish the fire efficiently. This training prepares firefighters for when an actual emergency strikes, Any member with proper certifications were able to train during the event, and throughout the day different scenarios were given to more experienced firefighters. A huge thanks goes out to all instructors and training officers who made this drill possible. We hope everyone who attended the burn learned something to better their firefighting skills!
