Showell Volunteer Fire Department

At 1648 hours, Showell was alerted to assist Ocean Pines with a Residential Structure Fire at 10 Bimini Lane. Engine 803 and Engine 804 responded to the scene and assisted on scene crews with locating the fire. After checking the inside of the home. heavy smoke was found throughout but no fire. Units began to check in the crawl space of the structure and found the fire, which at that point was extinguished. Insulation was removed from the crawlspace during overhaul to remove any hidden fire or heat. The Worcester County Fire Marshall responded to the scene to investigate the call, and units cleared the scene after it was deemed safe. Units on scene: Engine 1102, Engine 803, Engine 804, Rescue 11, and the Worcester County Fire Marshalls.
