Showell Volunteer Fire Department

Early tuesday morning, Showell was alerted for a Motor Vehicle accident with rollover. 800 Paramedic-1 responded to the scene followed by Engine 803 who found a single vehicle under the bridge on the outside of the guardrail overturned. At the time of arrival, the patient was out of the vehicle and had severe lacerations to the facial area. Worcester Central advised that Trooper 4 was avaliable from the hanger if needed, which at that time was requested. Route 113 was closed on both lanes to allow for landing of the helicopter, with Rescue 8 handling the Southbound lane of the highway. The patient was treated by 800 Paramedic-1 until the arrival of Trooper 4, where care was then transferred over to Trooper 4 medics. Once Trooper 4 cleared, traffic was resumed and units stood by for the arrival of a tow truck. Once the tow truck arrived, the call was handed over to MSP and units cleared the scene.
