Showell Volunteer Fire Department

For Tuesday evenings drill, cadets and firefighters left the station en route to Showell School to test the new hydrants recently placed in service in the area. Engine 803 and Rescue 808 were brought out for the drill. While cadets were familiarized with the basics of hydrants and hose lines, firefighters were refreshed on pumping the truck; filling up the engine from the hydrant, and then using that water to pump the deluge gun. With new hydrants in place, it is good for our department to test them to ensure that they are working properly.
