Showell Volunteer Fire Department

At 1957 hours, Showell was alerted to respond to a reported grille fire outside of the home at 10129 Pitts Rd. With firefighters already at the station for a meeting, Engine 803 quickly responded with Chief 850 and 5 firefighters from the station en-route to the scene. While en-route, Worcester Central advised that a grill was on fire outside of the home and was contained solely to the grill. 803 arrived on the scene to find a grill in the back yard already extinguished by the homeowner. Firefighters moved the grill away from the home and deemed the scene safe for units to return. Unit on scene: Engine 803
