Brush Fire- 2 Acres on Fire - Showell School Rd.

At 1304 hours, Showell was alerted to a Brush Fire near Showell Elementary School. As units approached the scene, heavy smoke was seen down Showell School Road. Engine 803 arrived on scene followed by Brush 8, 800-A2, and Tanker 8 while 851 took Showell School Road command. Firefighters used attack lines to extinguish the 2 acre wide fire and then performed overhaul to check for any hidden flames within the brush. After the fire was out 851 placed all units in service and terminated Showell School Road command. Units on scene: Engine 803, Brush 8, Tanker 8, and 800 A-2.
