Motor Vehicle Accident - Rt. 113 Just Prior to Jarvis Rd.

On Thanksgiving day, Showell was alerted to respond to a Motor Vehicle Accident at approximately 1245 hours. Upon arrival, Firefighter 824 established Route 113 command. Crews arrived on the scene to find a car facing southbound in the northbound lane, still in the vehicle. EMS personnel began patient care, and after some convincing from Police and EMS personnel, the patient was transported to AGH to be checked out. The cause of the accident is suspected to be caused by a medical problem. After transport, a tow truck removed the vehicle from the roadway and command determined the scene safe for units to clear the scene. Units on scene: Engine 803, Rescue 8, and 800- Paramedic 2.
