Showell Volunteer Fire Department

At aprroximately 1930 hours, Showell was alerted to respond to the crossing of Whaleyville Rd. and Sheppards Crossing Rd. for a reported car fire. While enroute to the call, units were advised the vehicle was an SUV fully involved in flames. 803 arrived first on scene where 852 took Whaleyville Rd. Command. Firefighters 819, 823, 825, and 802 used an attack line and extinguisher to put out the flames. After the fire was extinguished, 852 turned command over to MSP and all units returned to station. The cause of the fire remains unknown. Units on scene: Engine 803, Rescue 808, Tanker 805, Brush 8, and 800 A-1.
