Showell Volunteer Fire Department

At 2106 hours, Showell was alerted along with Ocean Pines, Berlin, and Bishopville Fire Departments for a reported smoke investigation which was originally dispatched as a residential structure fire. As Engine 803 and 800 A-1 arrived shortly after Engine 1102, firefighters entered the garage with TIC's (Thermal Imaging Cameras), to search for any sources of heat. After some investigation, Members from Ocean Pines and Showell determined the source of heat to be from the fuse box, and cancelled all other responding units. Command spoke with the homeowner and advised that the power would be shut off to the house until an electrician was able to come fix the fuse box. Units on scene: Engine 803, Engine 1102, and 800 A-1.
