Showell Volunteer Fire Department

To improve the knowledge of the members currently enrolled in Pump Operations class, Firefighter Nick Busby took members out to practice tasks such as hooking a hose to a hydrant, and how to successfully flow water from the hydrant to a 2 1/2 inch hose line. Firefighters were timed on how long it took for them to do the various tasks and were taught ways to improve their methods. Brush 8 was then used to teach members how to draft water from a stream and how to pump from that particular pump. All members who attended the drill learned alot from it and thank Nick for his time he put into improving our skills.
