Residential Structure Fire- Assisting Ocean Pines Fire Department - North Gate

Around 1200 hours, Ocean Pines was alerted for a Residential Structure Fire near Battersea Road. Crews arrived to find a 2 story structure with flames and smoke evident. Showell was alerted and 803 responded to stage near the scene. As the fire progressed, Engine 803 was relocated to the scene and several other departments were alerted including Berlin, Ocean City, and Bishopville. Several attack lines were placed into the structure as a vent was created on the roof by Ocean Pines Tower 11. After several hours the fire was out and overhaul was completed. The Fire Marshall was alerted to investigate the scene, the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
