Showell Volunteer Fire Department

At approximately 1735 hours, Showell Fire Department was alerted for a reported fire alarm in a residential structure. 852 arrived and took command and awaited the arrival of 803 to investigate. Upon 803s arrival Firefighters 819 and 833 entered the structure to find nothing evident. At this time 803 advised that all other units remained in station. The homeowner explained a neighbor was burning down the street and the smoke entered his house through a fresh air intake causing the detector to be set off. At 1743 hours 852 placed the incident under control and 803 soon cleared the scene.
