Showell Volunteer Fire Department

At approximately 1430 hours, Showell, Willards, and Bishopville Fire Departments were alerted for a Commercial Structure Fire off of Route 610. Firefighter 833 took command and reported smoke was evident as a 2 1/2 inch line was quickly taken to the source of the smoke. Firefighters 834 and 804 extinguished the fire as Fireman Busby used a pipe pole to search for any noticable heat sources within the structure. With the use of a Halogen Bar and axe, firefighters were able to remove the smoldering peice of the structure without any further damage to the homeowners property.
